Working in conjunction with Phonics K for Young Catholics are 12 little books. The first book, The Alphabet Train, is read by the parent/teacher and introduces the alphabet to the student. The remaining little books focus on the vowel sounds and can be read by the student with assistance from the parent/teacher as needed. The appropriate time for each little book to be used in the lessons is noted at the bottom of the page in Phonics K for Young Catholics. These little books provide a review of phonics lessons while offering the student the opportunity to experience the excitement of his own books that he can read.
