Description

Helping Homeschool Moms have a Fruitful Lent - Now updated for 2024!

A Lenten Guide for Homeschool Moms is written for moms who want a more fruitful Lent for themselves and their family. The Guide is full of practical advice and insight, spiritual exercises, and fun activities for the kids. Also included are many quick, easy, and kid-friendly meatless recipes.

A Lenten Guide for Homeschool Moms was written by Seton Magazine Editor Mary Ellen Barrett, a homeschool mom, who remembers being disappointed for not “doing” Lent correctly.

"I discovered there is no “perfect” Lent."  Mary Ellen explains, "There are always too many math pages to grade, sandwiches to make, and diapers to change. But, in the end, what is really needed is a desire to please God and grow closer to him. I wrote this guide to help you do that."

If you are a busy mom who is short on time for spiritual thoughts and insights but long on your desire to please God and grow closer to Him then this book is for you. The guide is not complicated, there's no need to write anything, unless you want to. It simply prompts you with a little daily reading and a small amount of thinking (which you can do in the shower). That and a glance at the included calendar will keep you focused on Lent and preparing for the Risen Lord.
